Khaverte / חבֿרטע
Khaverte is a queer, diasporist Yiddish singing duo made up of Ava Silverman and Lindsey Bloom. With each performance, we strive to foster intergenerational community spaces to share our passion for Yiddish language & culture and make music that means something, to us and to you.
Ava Silverman is a 2024 graduate of Smith College with a BA in neuroscience and is currently a graduate student at the Rutgers University School for Social Work.
Lindsey Bloom is a senior at Mount Holyoke College studying biology, Jewish studies, and coastal and marine science while performing in Yiddish shows in Western Massachusetts and New York City.
